Introduction:

Open Educational Resources (OER) are learning materials licensed in such a way as to freely permit educators to share, access, and collaborate in order to customize and personalize content and instruction (Bliss & Patrick, 2013). Benefits of educators adopting OER materials in their instruction include the potential to spare students the often prohibitive expense of textbooks, and the ability to adapt materials for the specific needs of the curricula and the classroom. This guide is intended to serve as a starting point for learning more about OER and where to find them.
